Communicate Connect was founded in 2013 by Director Fiona Ann, who has delivered person-centred, holistic speech pathology services since 1998. With a strong focus on adolescents and adults, Fiona’s vision was to support people with complex communication and swallowing needs in a way that empowers choice, connection, and community engagement.
That mission remains central today. We help clients express themselves, enjoy mealtimes safely, and build meaningful relationships. Therapy is tailored to each individual’s goals and delivered in the setting that suits them best—whether that’s in-clinic, at home, or in the community.
Our team has particular expertise supporting individuals with intellectual disability, autism, mental health needs, and behaviours of concern. We specialise in AAC, complex communication, and swallowing impairments, including profound dysphagia.
We’ve supported many clients through transitions from large residential centres into group homes or SIL placements, ensuring communication and mealtime needs are met. We also provide training for families, carers, and support workers.
